The Dallas office of BakerHostetler is seeking a senior-level business attorney with at least 7 years of corporate experience to join our General Counsel Services team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a team that supports clients in a broad array of sectors, advising them on domestic and international complex commercial contracts review and negotiation against sophisticated counterparties in a very fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Qualifications Include
- Minimum of 7 years of extensive experience reviewing and negotiating contracts against sophisticated counterparties.
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school;
- Law firm or in-house practice, or some combination of both is essential. Am Law 100 law firm experience is a plus, but not required; and admission to practice law in the state of Texas is required.
- professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment;
- the ability to take the lead on deals and interface with sophisticated and demanding clients and counterparties;
- the ability to work in a high-pressure and face-paced environment;
- the ability to meet and beat tight deadlines and handle multiple contract reviews and negotiations simultaneously;
- clear and concise communication style (oral and written) with clients, counterparties, and other team members.
