Job Summary:
Our team of Client Liaisons plays a vital role in providing over-the-phone assistance to taxpayers and ensuring tax returns are processed promptly and accurately in coordination with IRS guidelines. The Client Liaison is responsible for answering inbound and outbound calls, researching and resolving tax return issues, and assisting with timely transmissions of tax returns to the IRS.
Essential Functions:
- Calls Neighborhood Tax Center clients whose tax returns are missing information or have been rejected by the IRS and obtains additional information from the client necessary to fix the return
- Sends letters to clients who cannot be reached by phone
- Answers call and respond to client inquiries
- Makes corrections not requiring phone calls
- Assists the Electronic Return Originator (ERO) in pulling Acceptance and Rejection reports from the IRS e-file system
- Assists the ERO with the transmission of e-files to the IRS e-file system
- Other duties as assigned
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
All candidates selected must pass the Advanced IRS Certification and complete the Client Liaison training provided by Neighborhood Tax Centers
