As a member of the Health & Wellness Division, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking department dedicated to providing seniors with diverse programs within eight domains of wellness to advance BakerRipley’s impact in the Houston region.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of a Senior Health and Wellness Center attended by older adults who wish to receive a nutritious lunch and participate in various on-site programs and activities. Observe and monitor clients attending the program.
- Maintain AAA program compliance, which includes, but is not limited to, creating monthly calendars that include required nutrition education, conducting annual client eligibility assessments and satisfaction surveys, ensuring that every participant signs in using the client software system every day, and ensuring compliance with annual health inspections and fire drills
- Recruit, train, and give directions to participant volunteers
- Seek community collaborators to provide health education, nutrition education, exercise, and other resources that promote a healthier lifestyle and attract older adults to senior center programs
- Develop, create, and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment that promotes comfort and socialization among participants, including but not limited to food temperature safety, serving meals, clean-up, etc.
- Communicates with supervisor and other offsite program staff by email and phone in a timely manner with regard to compliance documents, supply needs, site incidents, daily meal orders, etc.
- Work with community and internal agency partners to promote a positive image of the agency and the Senior Health and Wellness program.
