The Training Specialist will lead the delivery of BakerRipley's Cornerstone Programs: Onboarding Management,
Training Delivery, and Curriculum Development. In addition, the Training Specialist will identify and monitor
training needs at BakerRipley and design, plan, evaluate and implement training programs, and procedures to
fulfill those needs.

    employees are provided with the best of the trade learning that is highly engaging.


JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads training delivery for employees as various Learning and Development needs arise (classroom-led,
    workshops, coaching sessions, etc.).
  • Establishes clear expectations for learners in each Learning and Development initiative, and fosters an
    environment conducive to learning and growth.
  • Identifies success metrics, and conducts pre- and post- training evaluations to test and monitor progress in
    learning.
  • Works in collaboration with clients to inform learning content and delivery style.
  • Stays up to date on Learning and Development best practices and methodologies to enhance and evolve the norganization’s learning solutions

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of training
  • Collaborate with the LMS Specialist on ILT and self-guided trainings tracking and ensuring course updates in
    the system
  • Reviews existing training programs
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs including course content learning objectives, and delivery methods to address identified needs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the agency
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new employee orientation and agency cornerstone programs
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in employee knowledge and skills across different
    departments
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of trainings through post-training assessments, feedback surveys
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements related to company policies
  • Ensure training materials are current, accurate and effective
  • Conducts and facilitates required and requested training sessions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with strong graphic design ability
  • Thorough understanding of training processes
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Ability to facilitate large groups in person and virtually
  • Instructional design experience preferred (not required)
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and Zoom

Work Experience Required

  • 4-6 years facilitating in diverse settings and formats (e.g. group, public speaking,
    e-learning). 
  • 1-3 years Supervisor experience
