What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Business Coach (Bilingual) position at BAKERRIPLEY?
As a member of the coaching team, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking Entrepreneur Connection team dedicated to providing resources, education, and connection to capital to entrepreneurs looking to build a successful business and improve their financial well-being to advance BakerRipley’s impact in the Houston region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare entrepreneurs for the process of seeking appropriate capital to build and grow their business
- Keep up-to-date with current entrepreneurial trends, market opportunities and skills training
- Collaborate with East Aldine partners, chambers of commerce, local economic development agencies and capital providers
- Build and maintain close professional relationships with small businesses throughout our targeted neighborhoods.
- Work in partnership with team to plan and implement special events, including our annual pitch competition
- Work with media outlets as assigned to promote program and services; may include print or television interviews
- Work with Senior Coach to develop new services based on demonstrated client need
- Track program metrics and improve the program’s data-collecting practices
- Manage day-to-day relationships with capital provider
- Assist with recruitment, intake, and ongoing communication with clients who currently own or are interested in starting a business
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Provide technical assistance, including guidance in the creation of feasibility studies and business plans and advice on key opportunities and challenges, to program participants.
- Lead workshops and occasionally sub for classes on various business topics as well as any team events including our annual business pitch competition.
- Partner and build relationships with Pasadena stakeholders.
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field
