Role Summary:
As part of the team’s marketing department, the Manager, Community Relations & Marketing will primarily oversee the team’s charitable foundation with secondary responsibilities implementing revenue-generating marketing initiatives. This position reports to the Director, Creative under the overall direction of the Vice President, Marketing & Communications.
Your Focus in this Role:
CONDORS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
- Community appearance scheduling and executing all facets of the Condors Community Foundation
- Manage, direct and execute all team auctions and experience raffles ensuring events are properly scheduled, executed, and fulfilled
- Work with Manager, Creative Services & Digital Media to ensure proper marketing of auctions, raffles, and other foundation benefiting activities
- Responsible for all special events and community programs; including planning and executing events such as the team’s golf tournament, teddy bear toss donations, “Tip-A-Condor” style events and more
- Expand community reach / grow Condors presence in the community
- Responsible for the scheduling of all Mascot & Player appearances and compilation of master appearance schedule
- Needs to fulfill mascot payroll using appearance spreadsheet
- Seek out new community appearance opportunities including golf tournaments, festivals, fun runs, etc.
- Responsible for the entire Donation life cycle (collecting, approving, tracking, contact Organization when fulfilled)
- Supervise the 50/50 Raffle, including registering, training, tracking, and growing
MARKETING
- Assists the marketing department with revenue generating goals under the direction of the Director, Creative and Manager, Creative Services & Digital Media
- These revenue generating goals could be through the use of digital media, sponsorship activation, event presentation, media relations etc.
- Assist game night activities including operations, digital media, event presentation, sponsorship activation, player relations etc.
- Assists with in-game elements for digital media including highlight distribution, media relations, promotional activities etc.
- Assists in various marketing/promotional executions as needed
- Assists in various events as needed (Golf Tournament, Community Events, Membership Events)
- Other marketing duties as assigned by the Vice President, Marketing & Communications or the Director, Creative to support the team’s overall revenue goals
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Degree is In lieu of degree, extensive experience in a related field will be considered
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Exceptional organizational skills with independent thought to be able to own responsibilities and execute
- Strong ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
- A passion for sports and entertainment production.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and team player.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must have access to a vehicle and a motor vehicle license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
Compensation:
This role is budgeted to start at $20.00 per hour.
