Warehouse/Yard Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for blending and diluting chemical products, unloading sand railcars into silos, moving railcars, transloading fuel to trucks, and loading railcars with propane and butane. This role requires the ability to operate various machinery within a warehouse/yard setting. Hazardous materials used will be Ethanol and Methanol. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery, such as tanks, piping, values, mixers, pumps, meters, scales etc., to mix raw materials according to specified formulas.
• Read, understand, and execute detailed procedures/instructions.
• Conduct regular inspections of blending equipment to maintain optimal performance and regular maintenance.
• Conduct or assist in blending and dilution of chemical products. Oversee and pump a variety of chemicals, from water to hazardous materials.
• Handle materials safely, employing proper materials handling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard and warehouse, adhering to safety regulations.
• Be familiar with all products in storage tanks, their specific hazards, and emergency protocol.
• Move items such as pallets, raw materials, buckets, finished materials, etc as needed.
• Offload/load dry-van trailers, flat-bed trailers, tanker trucks and bulk ISO containers.
• Make suggestions to management for improving the position or processes.
• Be familiar with all products in storage tanks, their specific hazards, and emergency protocol.
• Unload sand from railcars to silos.
• Move railcars in the yard.
• Transload fuel from railcars to trucks.
• Load railcars with propane and butane.
• Rail and switch maintenance.
• Operate and learn to operate a locomotive.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse/yard environment is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
