Job Summary
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for building/maintaining a base of physician clients in order to achieve/exceed sales results in the assigned territory. Specifically, the Account Manager assures profitable sales growth of the Bako Integrated Physician Solutions where pathology is the primary focus and products is secondary within assigned territory.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure/Certifications)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• Two years of outside sales experience with demonstrated consultative selling skills
• Computer proficient particularly in the Microsoft environment
• Must reside within assigned territory
• Podiatry or Dermatology Physician Assistance (PA) experience a plus
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Interacts with physicians, employees and clients in a positive manner consistent with the mission and values of Bako Diagnostics.
2. Responsible for achieving/exceeding sales quotas for a sales territory for the complete Bako pathology menu and line of therapeutic products.
3. Prioritizing daily activities (effective pre-call planning) in order to have efficient/productive selling/service days.
4. Is fully knowledgeable on complete pathology menu of services and therapeutic offering.
5. Have the ability to thoroughly discuss various testing techniques in anatomic pathology from technical to laymen’s perspective, to potential and existing clients.
6. Able to explain the value of in-office dispensing for the betterment of patient care, along with product knowledge, benefits and ability to close.
7. Clearly communicates the features/benefits of Bako Integrated Physician Solutions in order to create a new client and/or increase specimen submission/sales from existing clients.
8. Utilizes data to effectively plan sales strategies – accession and specimen reports, monthly dashboards, insurance plan “leaker” data, etc.
9. Retains and grows physician base of clients and quickly identifies those clients beginning to decrease in accession volume and product sales.
10. Performs post-call analysis and plans strategy for follow-up call
11. Is constantly improving sales presentation – opening, probing, supporting, and closing for selling the Bako Integrated Physician Solutions.
12. Effectively uses marketing materials during presentation and as leave behind messages.
13. Communicates with Regional Manager on a daily basis and responds to requests immediately.
14. Fosters and grows positive key customer relations – grows Bako’s excellent reputation in the medical community.
15. Operates within established expense budgets and guidelines.
16. Attends state, regional, and national trade shows as applicable.
17. Assures marketing procedures are carried out for effective tradeshow performance.
18. Monitors competitive activity and trends within the territory; fosters competitive solutions to meet assigned sales goals / quotas
19. Drives applicable sales/marketing promotions within assigned territory.
20. Act as a team player with entire Bako organization
21. Operates within all established company policies and compliance guidelines.
Working Conditions
General office environment. Travel is required and expected to effectively manage entire sales region.
