Resident Engineer
Location : Reno, Nevada (On-site)
Pay Rate : $35 - $40 / hour
Are you a quality-driven professional with a passion for engineering excellence? Join us as a Resident Engineer and play a pivotal role in representing our company on-site with our client . This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work closely with their supplier approval and selection processes while ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
On-Site Coordination :
Represent our company at the client’s facility.
- Oversee supplier approval and selection processes.
- Calculate staffing needs for sorting and / or rework activities.
- Initiate and monitor containment actions for product quality issues.
- Develop work instructions for sorting, rework, and equipment testing.
- Provide coaching, training, and supervision for sorting teams.
- Maintain real-time communication on product performance.
- Track and manage clean-point shipments, traceability, and product status.
Quality Management :
Support the client’s Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) processes.
Customer Interaction :
Establish positive relationships with the client’s quality and engineering teams to meet / exceed expectations.
Qualifications & Competencies :
Technical Knowledge :
Proficiency in IATF16949 automotive quality management standards.
Problem-Solving Expertise :
Skilled in methodologies like 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, fault tree analysis, and hypothesis tables.
Technical Tools :
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
