Job Title : QA Lab Buy Off Technician

Location : Lodi, CA

Work Hours : Monday - Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM

Pay : $22 - $23 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Buy Off Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection and testing of injection-molded parts (such as micro-tubes, tips, and PCR plates) to ensure they meet our strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Functions

Perform inspections in Molding and Secondary Operations, with authority to accept or reject goods, including production start-ups, in-process, and completed products.
Conduct inspections for the first production runs in Molding and Secondary Operations, sharing results with setup personnel to help ensure compliance.
Complete periodic in-process inspections to maintain quality standards in production.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts and assemblies to verify adherence to customer requirements, using inspection tools, gauges, and retained sample parts.

Key Qualifications

Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, particularly FDA / ISO, preferred.

Knowledge of cGMP / GLP regulations required.

Proficient in the safe use of lab equipment (e.g., centrifuges, balances, pipettes, robotic liquid handling devices).

Experience with PCR thermal cycling and wet lab environments is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; effective at collaborating across departments.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and perform well in a high-production environment under changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with FileMaker Pro is a plus.

Previous plastic injection molding experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Ability to occasionally lift 20-30 pounds to shoulder height and carry for short distances.

Capacity to sit up to 8 hours at a desk and / or stand at a counter-height work station.
