Balance Staffing is seeking to hire Lab Operator to support our client in Austin, Texas. Our client mission is to improve the quality, speed, and accessibility of scientific research.

JOB LOCATION : Austin, Texas

JOB TYPE : Contract Job

Pay : $20 / hour

Job Requirements

Ability to follow detailed instructions to run protocols
Complete required lab and safety training
Lift and handle materials for experiments
Use of Computer skills
Agility to participate in continous improvement of systems and processes
Comply with safety guidelines
Capability to communicate amongst team both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

High school Diploma

Comfortable working in a fast-paced production, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments with defined success metrics and goals for teams and individuals

Ability to follow detailed written instruction required to successfully run stated protocols with minimal supervision

Keen attention to detail, highly organized, and diligent

Strong computer skills and not intimidated to learn new systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts

Comply with all lab safety guidelines and use appropriate safety and protected devices when performing duties in the lab

Ability to work flexible shifts / hours, as well as overtime as needed, which requires standing on lab floor for the duration of a work shift not including breaks

Lifting and handling of materials used for experiments will be required, not to exceed OSHA guidelines

Benefits

The hourly rate for this role is $18-$19 per hour, depending on the experience
