Location: Cheltenham, PA
Schedule:
- Monday/Friday: 3:45 PM - 6:00 PM
- Every Other Wednesday: 1:20 PM - 6:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: End of the school year
Job Description:
A family in Cheltenham, PA, is seeking a patient, empathetic, and experienced nanny to provide
after-school care for their child. The ideal candidate will follow the child's lead, keep demands
low, and excel at coregulation and parallel play.
Responsibilities:
- Safely pick up the child from school and transport them home (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Provide attentive, nurturing care by following the child’s cues and allowing them to set
the tone for interactions.
- Create a calm, supportive environment and engage in parallel play to foster connection
and comfort.
- Prepare light snacks or assist with any after-school needs as required.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, adapting to the child’s unique needs.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with children, especially with approaches that involve following the child’s lead and maintaining low-demand interactions.
- Availability during the specified hours and flexibility for every other Wednesday's
extended schedule.
- A warm, calm demeanor with the ability to coregulate and support emotional well-being.
Compensation:
Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour, based on experience.
Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursement for transportation.
