Location: Cheltenham, PA
Schedule: Monday & Friday, 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM, Every Other Wednesday 1:20 PM - 6 PM
Position Overview:
A family in Cheltenham, PA, is seeking a patient, empathetic, and experienced caregiver to provide after-school care for their child. The ideal candidate will follow the child's lead, keep demands low, and excel at co-regulation and parallel play.
Responsibilities"
- Provide attentive and nurturing care after school.
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities and play.
- Support the child with patience and understanding.
- Prepare snacks as needed.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for the child.
- Safely pick up the child from school and transport them home (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Provide attentive, nurturing care by following the child’s cues and allowing them to set the tone for interactions.
- Create a calm, supportive environment and engage in parallel play to foster connection and comfort.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with neurodiverse needs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Provide 2-3 professional references.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining the family’s schedule.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with the parents.
- Availability during the specified hours and flexibility for every other Wednesday.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $25 per hour, based on experience
- Mileage reimbursement for transportation.
