Summary
As a Production Engineering Manager at Balanced Unitized, you will be instrumental in enhancing our manufacturing operations through effective process engineering and automation. This role is vital for ensuring product quality and operational efficiency within our production environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of production engineers, assigning tasks and providing technical guidance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Responsible for development of employees and monitoring their training needs.
- Oversee operations by working with your team on the manufacturing floor.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
- Design and implement new production methods, including automation and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and resource allocation for engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance throughout production processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices related to manufacturing processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum experience in managing fabrication of unitized curtain wall, aluminum windows and cladding.
- Experience managing a 50 to 100 person factory.
- ISO 9000 experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Project Management skills to plan and execute projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues.
- Experience preferred in AI use.
