Chiropractic Assistant (Part-Time)

What you’d be doing in this role:
The Chiropractic Assistance (CA) is a crucial part of the patient experience, overseeing both check-in/check-out responsibilities. The CA focuses on patient flow, compliance, patient accounts, and building positive patient relationships. This position requires a high-level of organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Experience: Greet and check-in patients, manage patient appointments including making courtesy calls to confirm appointments, scheduling no show follow-up appointments, and re-schedule appointments. Verify all patient paperwork is complete and ready for each type of visit including New Patient Questionnaires, Health Screenings, and any follow-up with patients as needed. Assist with performing any patient screening(s) and print necessary paperwork for doctor.
- Patient Account, Billing, and Transactions: Count, manage and balance cash drawer. Manage patient accounts, enter transactions, and collect patient payments. Prepare and print necessary forms, schedules, and receipts for patients. Process patient paperwork regularly to keep patient information current and safely disposed.
- Patient Communication: Address incoming phone messages, monitor the company email inbasket for patient communication, and distribute messages or information to appropriate team member(s).
- Office Environment: Create and maintain a communication loop with patients to identify concerns, new requests, or areas for improvement, ensuring a positive experience for all. Maintain appropriate level of marketing materials throughout the office to ensure availability for patients. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and waiting rooms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings and complete additional assignments as needed.
- Technology Utilization: Complete training of various chiropractic software programs to enrich your knowledge of the chiropractic experience.
- Patient Education and Self-Service: Watch appropriate training videos to learn about the chiropractic office experience, vocabulary, and concepts for proper patient management.
What You’ll Need:
· Educational Background: 2 year /Associates Degree in Business Administration, Health Care or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required
· 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a health care environment required
· A team player who is committed to providing high quality patient care
· Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
· Excellent oral and written communication
· Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail
· Ability to work together in a team environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Experience with patient scheduling software
· Familiarity with insurance billing and claims submission is an added benefit
