We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor with expertise in EMDR and trauma-informed therapy to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. As a counselor with our clinic, you will play a vital role in supporting clients' emotional healing and growth while utilizing evidence-based techniques in a collaborative, supportive environment.
- Provide individual counseling services for clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health issues
- Use EMDR and other trauma-informed techniques to facilitate client healing
- Conduct initial assessments and create treatment plans tailored to each client's needs
- Maintain accurate and timely client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and professional ethics
- Collaborate with other team members and refer clients to additional services when appropriate
- Offer support and psychoeducation to clients, helping them develop coping strategies for managing symptoms
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including staying updated on the latest research and techniques in trauma therapy
- Ensure that all services are provided in a culturally competent, inclusive, and compassionate manner
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Current, valid license in the state of Florida (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.)
- Specialized training and certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy or equivalent trauma-focused modalities
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma therapy or mental health counseling
- Experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related issues
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for client confidentiality
- Empathy, cultural competence, and a client-centered approach to therapy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting
- Additional certifications in trauma-related therapies (e.g., EMDR, ART, Brain Spotting, TF-CBT for trauma)
- Experience with virtual/telehealth counseling services
Hours & Schedule:
