Balch & Bingham LLP is currently seeking a talented Help Desk Analyst to join the firm's technology team in our Birmingham, AL office. This position is responsible for the phone support of a multi-site, physical, and virtual desktop environment primarily based on Microsoft technologies. The Help Desk Analyst interacts with firm leadership, attorneys, and professional staff. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, shows initiative, and remains professional throughout all interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first tier support for Help Desk questions.
- Follow firm’s standard help desk procedures.
- Resolve or escalate IT support tickets in a timely manner with a high level of client service.
- Identify routine technical issues through discussions with end users via telephone, email, web, and other channels.
- Assist in the support of the Microsoft Windows Environment.
- Assist in the support of the Microsoft Office Suite of Applications and other legal specific applications.
- Troubleshoot individual software applications as needed.
- Maintain and track check-out equipment such as laptops, projectors, mobile devices, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1 or more years of related experience supporting a Microsoft driven environment.
