Job Summary
The Director of Sales for Minerals and Nutrients will coordinate sales activities across the M&N business unit, collaborating closely with senior business directors, product managers, marketing, and research & development teams. This role is responsible for executing commercial strategies that support overall business plans for the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute commercial strategies to drive financial growth
- Develop strong relationships with key customers, fostering collaboration between R&D, marketing, and sourcing teams
- Drive account managers to prospect and close new business opportunities through standard and custom product selling
- Manage daily activities of assigned account managers, ensuring effective sales service, customer relations, and administrative needs are met
- Plan, schedule, and make sales calls to assigned accounts and territory prospects, arranging meetings for various company professionals to provide multi-level support and relationships
- Cross-functional collaboration with project managers and applications/R&D teams on commercial project development
- Collect and analyze competitive market intelligence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, or a related field
- Possesses polished customer relations and sales skills, with ability to manage a team
- Strong working knowledge of food ingredients, preferably in the dietary supplements industry
- 5-10 years of experience in ingredient sales
