Compensation: CSW Industrials has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing salary ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors. Some sales roles are also eligible for a sales bonus.

Position Summary
The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Shipping department, ensuring all shipments are accurate, timely, and meet customer expectations. This role includes leading and guiding the shipping team, providing training, and driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Balco’s safety rules, regulations, brings concerns to leadership on unsafe conditions, damages, or processes that need attention.
- Support and follow Balco, Inc.’s Quality Policy.
- Follow all applicable Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Coordinate all work within the Shipping department.
- Ensure that all employees are trained in all aspects of department functions.
- Verify that proper materials are provided to the customer.
- Verify that materials are supplied in the proper quantities and proper lengths.
- Coordinate supporting documentation and paperwork.
- Check materials to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Initiate preventative and corrective actions for problems with product or processes.
- Offer solutions for problems with product or processes.
- Verify shipment for correct lengths, finish, color, hardware, accessories, material, quality and quantity.
- Complete all supporting documentation to guarantee accurate record keeping and that the shipment will arrive at the correct destination in the required time-frame.
- Verify materials are marked with the proper mark number if required.
- Ensure proper packing material is used to protect the material during transit and handling.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Able to complete work accurately and on time.
- Able to work collaboratively with direct team members, or across departments, and work independently as needed.
- Able to effectively lead a team by providing direction, measuring quality of work, giving feedback, and managing performance.
- Able to properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Candidates who apply for positions requiring the use of a lift truck must be able to obtain certification and safely operate a lift truck.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required/preferred.
- 3 years of experience working in a role where shipping was a primary job duty
- Physical Conditions:
- This position works in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment, routinely uses hand tools, may operate production machinery or lift trucks, and must be able to stand for a full shift.
- Location:
- This role is required to be in the office full-time.
