What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Part-time) School Police Officer position at Bald Eagle Area School District?
The Bald Eagle Area School District is looking for a Part-time School Police Officer. Hours not to exceed 24 per week.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide law enforcement presence at District events as assigned, or to District schools as substitute or additional School Police Officer as assigned. Monitor and ensure the safety and security of students, staff, community members and property to create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. Provide police presence for after school events and activities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Pennsylvania State Police Academy Graduate or Municipal Police Officer Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) Graduate or Other Police Officer Certification
- Minimum 10 years of experience on the Pennsylvania State Police Force, Municipal Police Department, School Police Officer, or other certified police officer.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Weapons Proficiency Qualifications and Current Certification
- Basic School Resource Officer Training preferred
- Safety Care Training preferred
- Crisis Intervention Team Training preferred

The hired candidate will be required the following upon hire:
Act 168 paperwork- Current Physical (will accept if completed within 6 month of hire start date)
- Current TB test (will accept if completed within 6 month of hire start date)
- Act 126 (Mandated Reporter)
