We currently have a Daycare position in the infant (12 -18 Months) room open.
Position Title: Bald Knob Early Childhood Worker
Contract: 181 days
Salary: Classified Salary Schedule – New Hire – Daycare Worker
Primary Function: The Daycare worker will assist in the instruction, supervision, or management of the Infant/toddler classroom.
Illustration of responsibilities and key job duties:
- Monitor facilities for compliance with DHS requirements and proper procedures for cleanliness and order
- Provide support in any area as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the assigned classroom
Work with students in various settings: individual, small group, or the whole group
- Provide instruction to individual students, small group, or the entire class
- Supervise students as assigned by the teacher or building administrator
Meet the personal care needs or specific students as appropriate
- Physically capable of being on feet for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds of weight, and lift children to age three
- Acquire any necessary training (CDA) or specific skills required to function in the position assigned
Special Assignments:
The Day Care schedule will be flexible and may be changed as deemed necessary by the building administrator.
Organizational Relationships:
The Daycare Worker will report directly to the Director of Bald Knob Early Childhood Center, elementary principal, and assistant principal in addition to responding to reasonable requests by the Superintendent that is not in conflict with District policy or law.
Position Holder Qualifications:
The Daycare Worker (Classified) will hold at a minimum a CDA. Additionally, workers may hold an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Employee Evaluation:
The Instructional Assistant will be evaluated by the building administration.
