Overview:
The Warehouse Helper I role is an all-encompassing position within our operations department and spans several different teams as noted below. These positions are a major part of the organization and is responsible for receiving, returns, quality control, picking and packing, and all equipment operators to ensure all orders are correct and prepared appropriately for delivery to our customers.
RECEIVING HELPER
- Able to unload, sort, receive, inspect, and accept inbound deliveries.
- Capable of assessing the accuracy of goods received by matching merchandise received to the PO.
- Knows when to report shorts, damage, or defects to the receiving manager.
- Understands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received products.
- Maintains sanitation standards.
- Safely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages, or injuries.
- Proactive about communicating with Sanitation regarding waste.
RECEIVING RUNNER
- Use a pallet jack and/or stand-up forklift when needed.
- Safely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damages, or injuries.
- Good understanding of Warehouse layout to run product.
- Accurately locate items in Warehouse according to PO and other corresponding labels.
- Communicate consistently and efficiently with the Receiving team.
- Handle and pack products carefully and in a sanitary manner.
- Must be able to build pallets proactively to prevent product damage.
- Safely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damage or injuries.
- Responsible for making sure the quality of the produce is good before it goes out.
RETURNS HELPER
- Examine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information. such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms.
- Enter return information into the computer.
- Maintains sanitation standards.
- Safely operates all warehouse equipment to prevent damage or injuries.
- Proactive about communicating with Sanitation regarding waste.
- Must always follow all GMP and HACCP rules and regulations.
Quality Control Helper
- Examine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect and date on invoice or other forms.
- Enter return information into the computer.
- Learn extensive produce product knowledge to proper access the quality of a product being received.
- Able to identify and report any item conditions discrepancies to the QC Manager.
- Maintains sanitation standards.
- Capable of assessing the accuracy of goods received by matching merchandise received to the PO.
- Knows when to report shorts, damage, or defects to the receiving or QC manager.
- Understands LIFO or FIFO methodology and knows how and where to store newly received products.

LTC Picker
- Picks the correct item and quantity by utilizing pick slip/paper.
- Remove case(s) of product from storage rack and place on pallet.
- Move the pallet on a pump jack until full or order is complete.
- Identifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance with the order.
- Operates pump jack in a safe and efficient manner.
- Stages pallets in appropriate loading bay dock door.
- Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality.
- Follow instructions from RF computer and pick orders accordingly.
- Properly build a stable and well cubed pallet based on warehouse regulations.
- Examine and inspect stock items for defects, report any damage to supervisors.
- Carefully transport products from one location to another location.
- Ensure item pick accuracy and safety of product to prevent damage.
- Keep all assigned equipment free of damage.
Maintain an idle time of less than an hour (30minute break, 15minute paid break)
