About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a School Bus Driver. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and staff while ensuring their safe transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport students and staff to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure its cleanliness and mechanical soundness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and driving safety rules.
- Maintain accurate records of bus maintenance, mileage, and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Valid Alabama bus driver certificate and commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
- Successful drug screening results and subject to subsequent testing.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
