What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst - Baldwin Risk Partners position at Baldwin Group Colleague, Inc.?
Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepares standard journal entries.
- Prepares account reconciliations and proposes journal entries to correct any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
- Assists in day-to-day administration of the firm’s stock program, ensuring all grants, terminations, and tax withholdings are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with other members of the accounting team and members of other departments regarding payroll and equity compensation.
- Provides analysis and support in various aspects of payroll and equity compensation.
- Assists with management of internal accounting email.
- Looks for opportunities to improve the organization, business segments, and processes.
- Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leader, while identifying potential solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and basic understanding of US GAAP.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for frequent interaction with company employees.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Exhibits professional skepticism.
- Must demonstrate the organization’s roles and core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firm’s culture.
- Must be able to interact effectively with various levels of management, both inside and outside the organization, as well as directly with vendors.
