What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Technology Analyst, Employee Benefits-Insurance Advisory So position at Baldwin Group Colleague, Inc.?
Principal Responsibilities:
- Builds and customizes Eligibility Management System to client specifics for groups with less than 20 employees and/or less than 5 plan types
- Manages multiple Data Exchange File Implementations taking full responsibilities for timeliness and communication with EBG service team and insurance partners for assigned groups with less than 20 employees and/or less than 5 plan types
- Manages onboarding and/or transition process from our eligibility management system for all groups and access within the Eligibility Management System
- Maintain knowledge of Eligibility Management System capabilities
- Conduct Management System training for assigned clients
- Collect enrollment data and enter into various insurance company eligibility systems
- Monitor insurance partner files and addresses any discrepancies identified in the reports for assigned clients
- Conduct tests in eligibility management system after new implementations and renewals
- Maintain monthly enrollment spreadsheet for assigned third-party vendors
- Assist colleagues and/or clients to resolve and monitor program data and reporting issues
- Documents all activity in on-line client file to ensure quality and responsiveness
- Conducts and assigns various Eligibility Auditing of select accounts such as monthly reports, post-renewal audits, and system to system discrepancy reports
- Monitors technology email and manages basic questions and concerns from our clients
- Identify client training opportunities related to policy and eligibility management
- Aids in analyzing, evaluating and prioritizing requirements to deliver business process or automated application solutions, including end user acceptance testing of automation
- Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, firm and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims
- Act as secondary resources to the Employee Benefits Team and/or clients
- Act as back-up support to the Employee Care Center
- Cultivates strong relationships with insurance company partners and is responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes
- Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Two plus years of working experience with benefit administration payroll, and/or HRIS systems
- Superb client relations/customer service skills
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Possesses a moderate to advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate data, compare and contrast two data sets, perform pivot tables and lookups.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Demonstrates effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications.
- Possesses the ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.
- Possesses the ability to learn benefits and grow in product knowledge.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads while maintaining deadlines.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact and communicate effectively within a team environment to share knowledge and manage workflows.
- Current Florida 2-15 License, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days.
