What are the responsibilities and job description for the Critical Care Float RN position at BALDWIN HEALTH?
Provides care to patients from pediatric to elderly, performing all functions in a professional and ethical manner. Collaborates with other health care team members to ensure quality patient care in correlation with the nursing process, Alabama Nurse Practice Acts, Baldwin Health standards of care, philosophy, mission and the medical plan of treatment and care.
Position requirements: The Critical care float RN position is required to have a flexible schedule between day shift and night shift to meet the needs of the unit. Required to pick up one shift or an on call shift per pay period. Call-ins to be made up within same pay period.
Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing for the State of Alabama required. Possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Experience: One year experience in critical care preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required. A thorough knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and their application required. ACLS required within 30 days of hire and PALS preferred. Excellent communication skills required. Must complete and maintain required departmental competencies.
