Summary
Assists with tasks related directly or indirectly to assisting customers through the vehicle service and maintenance process and supports Management in reaching company goals and objectives. Primary focus areas are (1) preparing repair orders for service customers and (2) supporting the needs of the service department.
Job Duties Overview
- Opens ROs on all vehicles checked in
- Contacts all customers with an open RO daily
- Helps identify mechanical concerns by questioning the customer, performing a walkaround inspection, and properly documenting concerns
- Informs customers of inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and prepares a repair order for needed repairs
- Sends MPI videos to customers
- Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
- Establishes a promised time and communicates changes with the customer
- Advises customers on vehicle care and the value of regular maintenance
- Inspects vehicles before re-delivery
- Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer
- Properly utilizes all required documentation, procedures, and tracking systems
- Helps keep the waiting areas clean and stocked with snacks and drinks
- Completes and processes loaner/rental agreements
- Completes any additional reasonable duties as required by management

Education/Experience
- Service Advisor certification in Subarunet within 90 days of placement in the role
- At least 2 years of interacting with the public in a professional manner
- Familiarity with smart phone and computer operation including using apps and e-mail
