Duties
- Lead and manage the service department team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of services.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle issues accurately and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Implement effective upselling techniques to promote additional services and products to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including service writing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service department.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support automotive sales initiatives and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, including diesel engine repair techniques and advancements in automotive technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within an automotive service environment.
- Strong background in customer service, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in vehicle maintenance practices, including knowledge of automotive repair processes.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques.
- Experience in upselling services or products effectively to customers.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair is a plus but not mandatory.
