BW Men’s Rugby Head Coach
Reporting to Director of Athletics & Recreation
Work Schedule: Part-time/adjunct; six practice hours per week; weekend games/tournament required; weekend recruiting throughout the months August-May. This position is classified as not-eligible, exempt.
Start Date: January 2025
Job Responsibilities:
The Head Men’s Rugby Coach oversees the development and success of the Baldwin Wallace Men’s Rugby program through effective communication, strategic planning, recruitment, and retention. This role involves regular interaction with students, parents, faculty, and staff, as well as travel and supervision of team activities.
- Develop and implement a successful recruitment/retention plan.
- Design and execute game strategies, including, but not limited to scouting opponents and analyzing film.
- Plan and lead practices, competitions and strength and conditioning sessions.
- Travel with the team.
- Ensure compliance with University, departmental, and National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) rules and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the Department of Athletics & Recreation.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous rugby coaching experience.
- Safe Sport certification, CPR certification, and Level 1 Coaching certification.
- Successful completion of a background check.

- Familiarity with Baldwin Wallace University policies and procedures is preferred.
