To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development incorporating a framework clustered into four domains of teaching responsibility: planning and preparation, classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities.
This position is Nine and one-fourth (9.25) month contract (190 days), plus a benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience and LRSD’s salary placement guidelines. FLSA: EXEMPT.
TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE
- Valid teacher’s license in Elementary Physical Education by the Arkansas State Department of Education.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Possesses positive interpersonal relations skills.
- Demonstrates the conviction that all children can and will learn in the Little RockSchool District.

- Meets and instructs assigned class in the location and at the times designated.
- Prepares for assigned classes and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.

- Develops and teaches games for students to teach them good skills as well as good social behaviors.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, material and facilities.
- Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administration regulation.
- Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or procedures governing student life and conduct.
- Develops reasonable rules and procedures in order to maintain a classroom climate which is equitable, fair and conductive to learning.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Models a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.
- Makes commitment to time necessary for participating in District/school sponsored staff development.
