Job Description
Balfour Beatty is looking for a HVAC Quality Control Inspector to assist the Construction Quality Control Manager on a large Federal project at Fort Meade, Maryland. The HVAC Quality Control Inspector is required to be present at the construction site and have the noted experience and/or education in their field of expertise. Duties include, but are not limited to, attending and contributing to meetings, reviewing quality of design documents, reviewing quality of submittals, performing the three phases of control, preparing documentation for definable features of work, performing field inspections, and overseeing testing and commissioning processes.
Project Description
The state-of-the art operations facility consists of a multi-story, 858,000-square-foot building that will include open office areas, collaborative multi-discipline workspace, computer labs and virtual instruction/distance learning-enable classrooms along with an accompanying 1.2-million-square-foot parking garage. This facility will be built to achieve LEED® Silver certification, will comply with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) standards and will include redundant primary power and Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems to ensure continuity of operations. This project is design-build.
Minimum Requirements
Trade specific licensed journeyman with ten years of relevant field experience with commercial mechanical and controls systems or mechanical engineering degree with five years of construction experience. Need to be able to ascend ladders & stairs; access personnel lifts (i.e. scissor & boom lifts); don fall protection equipment (harness & lanyard); be on your feet for extended periods of time; traverse uneven terrain and access excavations/trenches. Experience in Quality Control role and knowledge of USACE RMS Program and Procore is helpful. US Citizen required.
The base salary for the role above is $95,000 to $120,000
