Heavy Equipment Operators
Heavy Equipment Operators should know the basic mechanics of heavy yellow iron including major manufacturers such as CAT, Deere, Volvo, Komatsu, Etc. and should be proficient at operating a particular style or multiple styles of Heavy Equipment. Major types that are actively running on-site are Bull Dozers, Front End Wheel Loaders, Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Steers and Motorgraders.
- Proven experience operating Heavy Equipment (particularly related to earth moving and finish work)
- Knowledge of mechanics and understanding of the needs of Heavy Equipment and general Maintenance
- Ability to read documents and drawings is a big plus
- Understanding of GPS systems is a plus
- Knowledge of earthwork and the properties of earth, including compaction needs, density, stability, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
