Summary

The primary function is to report the organization’s financial status by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts and reports. Provides direct accounting support to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions

Financial/Accounting Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely reporting of the reconciliation of actual performance versus forecast/budget to the management team.
• Participates, as appropriate, with internal financial audits.
• Determines and improves financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting
• Assists with coordination / preparation of quarterly projections and annual budget in conjunction with Operations and Finance management.
• Identifies and communicates risks and opportunities to budgets/plans.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  Requirements:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in accounting with
  • 4 to 7 years of experience at a mid-size or larger public accounting firm; or
  • Equivalent work experience with a general contractor in the construction industry
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP)
• Understanding of financial statements and accounting relationships
• Solid presentation skills and verbal/written skills
• Proficiency in using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, accounting applications and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

  Preferred experience:

• Construction industry experience, a plus
• Experience with percentage of completion accounting, a plus
