Balian Springs Self Care Social Club is looking for professional, personable, high-energy, creative and enthusiastic Bartenders! The Dry Well is our Mindful Bar, serving up Adaptogen Elixirs, CBD, and other spirit-alternative mocktails; The Hideout Rootop Bar serves champagne, wines, beers, and beautiful craft cocktails. We encourage those looking to get creative with CBD, Adaptogens, and other spirit-alternative elixirs menu additions to join our growing team!

Balian Springs is a daily membership-based facility located just 15 minutes from DC in Alexandria! This Social Club focuses on promoting complete self-care to satisfy mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. We are passionate about the greater human connection and strive to build on the supportive community found at Balian Springs.

The Club consists of 16 therapeutical spa pools, 8 themed sauna rooms, 6 lounge rooms, workspace, fitness center, day spa, 3 eateries, and year round roof deck with one of our two bars on site, The Hideout Rooftop Bar.

Responsibilities

• Ability to problem solve while maintaining a positive attitude
• Interact with all guests, showing genuine appreciation
• Exemplifies a hospitality mindset to build relationships with members and guests, regularly creating extraordinary experiences
• Having knowledge about all amenities offered at our Club
• Answering any questions clients may have about our Club
• Ensuring area is clean and tidy
• Instruction guests on proper policies and procedures set by Balian Springs
• Understanding customer’s needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the Club
• Confirms guest orders, including any special needs or requests
• Serve guests with minimal delay and timely service
• Invent new recipes and perfecting existing ones to ensure that Balian Springs has a unique and desirable menu of options for it’s guests.
• Daily restocking of all beverage items to ensure par levels are kept.
• Make drinks quickly, neatly, and efficiently.
• Be proficient and work towards mastering the computer point-of-sales system.

Skills

• Knowledge of standard drink recipes
• Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.
• Have working knowledge of bar equipment and set up
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with customers, the public and employees
• Good verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of drink recipes
• Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue
• Knowledge of all required documents, i.e., A.B.C., Health Dept.
• Knowledge in non-alcoholic beverages (Kalo, 3 spirits, zero wine, CBD, ect)
• Knowledge in alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of Mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
