*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical office or clinic settings and possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
*Responsibilities*
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient care procedures
- Perform vital sign measurements and record patient information accurately
- Handle medical records and ensure patient confidentiality
- Conduct preliminary testing such as visual acuity and tonometry
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
- Provide exceptional patient care and support during examinations
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience in a Ophthalmolgy office or clinic setting is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and optical terminology is beneficial
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus
- Ability to perform basic vital sign measurements accurately, as well as Ophthalmic testing including visual aquity, refraction, tonometry, and testing.
- Proficiency in handling medical records with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Experience working with electronic health record systems is advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.93 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
