Job duties
- As a member of our Cloud Infra Team you will Evangelize cloud best practices to the application and product delivery teams, alongside developing and guiding the other delivery teams to develop reusable cloud enablers (eg Terraform, templates)
- You will work with the product and platform teams to collaboratively drive new solutions, proof of concepts and help drive the architectural direction of the dev-ops. As a part of this you will be responsible for producing analysis and design documents for proposals and implementation changes.
- The goal is for all resources to be managed via Infrastructure as Code. Therefore strong hands on experience developing immutable infrastructures on AWS using Terraform, Cloud formation, CDK is required as well as experience with Helm.
- Our platform uses a lot of Amazon services such as Amazon CloudWatch, Auto Scaling Groups, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), API GW, RDS, EKS
- Experience in AWS networking and security is required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes and strong appetite to learn new technologies will be desired.
Must haves
- 8 years' of experience in cloud engineering and DevOps roles.
- 5 years of AWS administration and development including hands on experience with the following services: ELB, EC2, EKS, ECR, S3, SQS, SNS, SSM, Secrets Manager, KMS, RDS, IAM, AutoScaling, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, Route53 and WAF.
- Must be highly proficient using the AWS CLI.
- Strong Terraform, HELM experience.
- Recent experience using collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence
- Experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework. Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost Optimization.
- Experience in DevOps model with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc. with technologies such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Terraform etc Experience with container related technologies and DevOps related tools - Jenkins Pipelines, Artifactory, Stash, GitLab, Docker, SonarQube etc.
- Experience building and debugging applications using Python as a programming language.
