Auto Technician Recruiter
This specialty recruiting role will require the employ of different methods to find the best and the brightest technical talent for the Balise organization. The position will participate in ongoing networking with various local community leaders and attendance at local technology meetings/forums. On the Technical School level, the recruiter will work directly with Instructors to develop partnerships with departments, student organizations, and alumni networks. Actively connecting with technical talent via knowledge-sharing websites and industry-specific message boards, and use various social media avenues like Facebook Graph Search, GitHub, and Google to reach out and build relationships on behalf of Balise. An integral part of the overall strategy to ensure the right technical skill and staffing levels for every dealership within the Balise organization. This position will also serve as a resource to the technical team at Balise, bringing industry knowledge and ideas forward in an effort to strengthen the skill and capabilities of this core group of associates.
Job Description:
- Build strong relationships within the technical community and assist in broadening the relationships within the local schools and technical institutions by representing the organization on technical advisory boards and community events
- Remain current in the field and make recommendations to management on advanced learning and development to keep pace with the industry
- Identify the target areas and organizations in which to recruit the top talent; build strong network of talent to ensure we have a pipeline readily available to meet the demands of each Balise location
- Build and maintain a strong network within the technical field and assist in strengthening the career path for technical talent within the Balise organization
- Maintain relationships with Balise technical talent through onboarding efforts and career development planning with Fix Operations management
- Identify and assist in implementing strategies to retain top talent within the technical positions for the company.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in the automotive industry; sound understanding of technical career path and experience working within the technician environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the technician skill set and proven experience in identifying technical talent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professional with a diverse group; community leaders, managers, and subject matter experts, technical associates
- Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and organizational and time management skills
- Ability to clearly and confidently present information and persuade the passive candidate to consider joining the Balise Organization

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.
