Our vital and growing firm is searching for a highly skilled Head Diesel Truck Mechanic responsible to work and maintain our fleet of over 50 vehicles and equipment; Freightliner FL70's, MT55's service trucks, Mack tandem and tri-axle dump trucks, CAT backhoes, Case 580 backhoes, 185CFM and 210CFM air compressors, and a wide assortment of pneumatic and other tools.

Our vital and growing firm is searching for a highly skilled Head Diesel Truck Mechanic responsible to work and maintain our fleet of over 50 vehicles and equipment; Freightliner FL70's, MT55's service trucks, Mack tandem and tri-axle dump trucks, CAT backhoes, Case 580 backhoes, 185CFM and 210CFM air compressors, and a wide assortment of pneumatic and other tools.
Responsibilities
- Trains and manages a team of mechanics.
- Manage work orders, inventory of parts, equipment, tools and supplies.
- Service heavy diesel engine vehicles, including preventative, routine maintenance and repairs.
- Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
- Diagnose and repair vehicles and all other equipment on our fleet.
- Execute special projects as assigned by management.
- Possess own mechanical tool set.
- Knowledge of DOT inspections and perform preventative maintenance.
- Keep detailed records and maintenance schedules.
- Valid and clean driver’s license.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 10 years of diesel vehicle relevant experience.
- Must have own set of tools.
- Mechanical and technical knowledge: use of computers and diagnostics tools to troubleshoot and repair all faulty equipment.
- Be able to diagnose and repair: Electrical, Brakes, Exhaust, Suspension, Lights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and seek additional information as appropriate.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
