What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Balkema Sitework and Development/Hillside Gravel?
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain equipment such as, but not limited to:
- Excavators
- Bull Dozers
- Scrapers
- Skid Steers
- Loaders
- Light Duty Trucks

- Perform tasks including digging, lifting, moving materials, and transporting goods.- Follow safety guidelines and protocols for each piece of equipment operated.- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards
- - Proven experience in operating a wide range of heavy equipment
- - Commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not required.
- - Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
- - Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Experience loading truck with loaders - helpful

- Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:
- Have reliable personal transportation
- Awareness while working around heavy equipment
- Basic equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Valid Driver License
- Reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
