Nature of Work :

The Studio Technician position operates several different technical positions in the Altitude studio, including but not limited to camera, jib camera, duet, audio, technical director, and EVS. The Studio Manager & Director crews the Studio Technician for specific shifts for various Altitude productions.

Examples of Work Performed :

Operate Jib camera for pregame & postgame shows
Operate EVS tape machine for pregame & postgame shows
Operate duet graphics machine for pregame & postgame shows
Operate Sony switcher for pregame & postgame shows
Assist director with lighting on set
Operate audio board for pregame & postgame shows, mic talent and monitor audio levels

Working Conditions & Physical Demands :

When operating cameras, may have to stand for stretches of 30 minutes to an hour

Qualifications :

Minimum :

High School Diploma or GED

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred :

2 years of television experience

Competencies / Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism

Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner

Ability to work independently & in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to work in the fast-paced, high-stress environment of live television

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing environments

Must have general knowledge of headset and RTS panel operations

Compensation :

Base Wage Range : $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
