What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warranty Technician position at Ball Homes, LLC?
JOB SUMMARY
Ensure that Ball Homes’ customers receive exceptional customer service for any new home-related repairs covered by warranty. Repair all work orders to customers’ satisfaction and to company quality standards within an appropriate time frame.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair roof leaks and other water leaks.
- Replace or repair flashing that is in some way faulty or not installed properly to deter and correct existing or potential leaks.
- Re-roof areas damaged by winds or poor initial installation.
- Repair siding and leaks caused by problems with siding. Installation of siding as needed.
- General drywall repair.
- Trim carpentry.
- Masonry.
- Repair floor squeaks.
- Slab preparation.
- Window and sash replacement.
- Demolition and reconstruction of existing walls.
- General plumbing.
- General home repair and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Education/ GED.
- Basic knowledge and working understanding of all power tools used for advanced carpentry.
- Working understanding of roof construction.
- Broad construction/maintenance background.
- Two-four years of experience in construction and/or maintenance.
- Ability to positively interact with customers and/or co-workers.
EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT
- Daily interaction with homeowners, co-workers, and supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Drive to and from customers’ homes every day.
- Work outside in all weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
- Work on top of houses. All tools provided by company.
