Description

As a member of the IT team this role is responsible for design, configuration, and maintenance of Ball’s business systems built with SAP’s sales, production, transportation, supply chain and FICO related modules plus third-party tools. The Business Analyst will create and maintain close partnership with Business Management and IT Management teams, including collaboration with Business Analysts, Business Support Analysts, and Business Users. The Business Analyst must ensure business procedures are performed efficiently and proactively identify innovative opportunities to apply new technical process solutions to meet business needs all while improving customer, employee and supplier experience, driving sales, reducing cost to serve, and driving profitability.

Responsibilities

• Propose innovative IT solutions to address business needs by understanding business processes and requirements and applying the best of class software, hardware and/or services (15%)
• Develop IT solutions by writing functional specifications and coordinating the development with IT staff (programmers, configurators, network, infrastructure, management, etc.) (15%)
• Enhance current SAP processes by configuring SAP S/4 SD and TM to meet business requirements (10%)
• Assure successful implementation and adoption of IT solutions by the business by coordinating testing, documentation, training, change management and communication with the business (15%)
• Timely support of daily business issues by communicating with the business, providing assessments, proposing and prioritizing solutions (45%)
• Percentage of time spent dependent on candidate experience and business needs
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design, implementation and support of business systems including
• Business analysis, process design and writing of functional specifications
• SAP configuration of Sales & Distribution including strong understanding of SAP sales order management, delivery, billing, customer master and integration with TM and SD
• Includes SAP support tools (SAP for Me, SAP Notes).
• Business-specific customizations such as customer portal, supplier portal, pricing tools and their interactions with standard SAP
• Full systems life-cycle implementations using development methodologies and controls (i.e. Agile or ITIL)
• Implementing enhancements and fixes with appropriate follow-up
• BS in Computer Science, Business, Agriculture, or equivalent work experience
• Development & reporting tools
• SAP S/4 HANA tables, CDS Views, Analysis for Office & ALV
• MS Windows Environment and Office applications including MS PowerBI
• Availability for monthly maintenance windows, periodic QA refreshes, and project go-lives that are outside normal business hours

Salary Range: $85-125K

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of selling, importing, and transporting perishable products with a short shelf life including but not limited to greenhouse floral products, fresh produce, or cut flowers
• Experience in a broker industry where products are drop-shipped from third party suppliers to customers
• Experience working on projects using third party IT resources, either domestic or international
  
  

Desirable Technical Experience

• SAP configuration of Basic Transportation Management including freight units, freight orders, and freight settlement
• SAP configuration of materials management and/or production modules (SAP S/4 HANA, MM and/or PP) Including SAP development tools (SAP For Me , SAP Notes search) SAP modules including EDI (PI), Warehouse Management (WM), forecasting
• Experience w/ testing automation tools
