Summary:
The Supervisor, Lab is responsible for daily operations and over site for all testing in an outpatient physician office laboratory. This individual is responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post analytical phases of laboratory testing. The Supervisor shall be responsible for writing procedures and policies for laboratory procedures. Additionally, the Supervisor will be involved in development of new procedures/tests and selection of new instrumentation. The Supervisor will maintain laboratory instrumentation performance by establishing quality standards, training personnel, scheduling instrument service, and troubleshooting. This individual shall place supply orders and maintain adequate inventory levels. The Supervisor will ensure quality of all phases of laboratory testing by participating in a Quality Assurance Program, Proficiency Testing, and preparing reports for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in medical technology or related field preferred. Minimum three years clinical lab experience in all laboratory departments. Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred. Experience in outpatient laboratory setting preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active Medical Technologist licensure
