We are currently searching for a Full Time or Part Time Optician who has great customer service experience, optical knowledge, attention to detail and is reliable. We are open Monday through Thursday so enjoy a 3 day weekend, every weekend!

We offer competitive hourly pay (from $22.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience) and benefits including PTO, 401K, Medical, Dental, Paid Holidays and in-office Vision for employees.

We are searching for someone with at least 1 years of experience in optical/ophthalmology.

General position responsibilities are:

Optical:

· Assisting patients with selection and fit of new frames and lens options

· Take appropriate measurements specific to patients' optical prescription

· Ordering lenses and working with lab to ensure high quality

· Adjusting frames and lenses

· Ordering contact lenses and assisting patients with inserting, removing and caring instruction

· Inventory management

· Keeping optical area clean and organized

· Billing (vision insurance claims, billing patients, and collecting payments)

· Explaining insurance benefits

· Assist patients with check out, explaining benefits, collecting copay amounts and billing for routine services

Other Office responsibilities:

· Assisting patients with scheduling and rescheduling appointments

· Triaging patients to identify eye related urgency and schedule appropriately

· Assist with special projects and other ad hoc responsibilities

Skills required to be successful are as follows:

· STRONG communication skills with phone, email, and copywriting

· Willingness to learn and work in a small team environment

· Positive attitude and approachable professional demeanor

· Adaptability and flexibility depending on business needs and can balance multiple priorities at once

· Reliability and punctuality are a MUST
