Description:
We are looking for a talented and hardworking Graphic Design Intern to join the Creative Team at Ballerina Farm. The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for supporting on digital, packaging and print design needs and implementing brand guidelines, ideating on designs, implementing feedback and formatting final deliverables. This role will report to the Design Manager and Director of Brand and Product. The ideal candidate has a passion for brand building, a strong creative portfolio, is proficient in Typography and feels confident implementing brand guidelines in both digital and physical mediums.
Requirements:
- Has or is pursuing a BA/BFA in Graphic Design
- Portfolio that shows a range of projects and your approach to creative thinking
- 3 days in office or on-site per week (in Utah)
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects and Photoshop
- Experience in Figma (UX/UI design)
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Substack
- Proficient in typography
- Some experience in illustration
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable taking direction and pivoting as needed
- Creative mindset with a passion for brand building and digital/print design
Responsibilities:
- Print Materials Design (packaging inserts, directions, invites, recipe cards, etc…)
- Packaging Design (mockups and die lines, labels, tags, etc…)
- Digital Design (IG Stories, Substack Graphics, Infographics, Meta Ads, etc…)
- Design Templates (Email Templates, IG Templates, etc…)
- Ad Designs (static and video for Meta/Google)
- Deck Design (Keynote, Google Slides)
Measures of Success:
- 1 one-on-one call with Director of Brand and Product each week to align on priorities and deliverables for the week
- 1 one-on-one call with the Design Manager each week to align on priorities and deliverables for the week
- Participation in the following meetings
- Bi-Weekly Brand Integrated Marketing Calendar
- Weekly Creative Team Video TB
- Weekly ADs Review New Content Briefing
- 2-5 printed packaging inserts each month, printed
- Timely delivery of packaging design with feedback implemented (provided by the Director of Brand and Product & the Design Manager)
- 10-15 Meta Ads delivered each month, as outlined in a brief by the Growth Marketing Manager/Director of Marketing
- Clear communication with Director of Brand and Product on timelines, priorities, and external needs to accomplish the above responsibilities
