Job Description
The Club Manager/Director of Racquets is responsible for managing all aspects of operations at Ballers Boston. This role includes overseeing daily operations, providing exceptional customer service, programming, managing staff, organizing events, and ensuring outstanding racquets experiences for members and guests. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of Ballers Boston
- Create programming for all racquet sports that is engaging, challenging and fun for varying ability levels and ages.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance the Ballers Boston experience.
- Maintain highquality standards for courts, common areas and facility operations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Schedule staff and ensure proper coverage for all programming.
- Run weekly staff meetings ensuring open communication and relaying expectations.
- Foster relationships with members to encourage participation and engagement.
- Provide highquality lessons for players of all ages and skill levels, including private, semiprivate, and group lessons.
- Organize and lead clinics, camps, and social events to promote padel and picklball at the club.
- Organize junior padel and pickleball programs, clinics, and camps.
- Provide personalized service to members, addressing their needs and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all membershiprelated inquiries and concerns about golf.
- Regularly gather feedback from members and employees to identify opportunities for improvement in programming and service.
- Participate in member events, training sessions, and special programming to foster community engagement and support member retention.
- Create and maintain an inclusive and positive team environment that promotes open communication and collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications
- Teaching certification as a padel, pickleball and tennis professional.
- Teaching skills to coach all levels of players and create appropriate programming and offerings for the players.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Club Manager/Racquets Director at a club with a large membership and extensive facility offerings.
- Existing eligibility to work in the US.
- Strong knowledge of rules, etiquette, and industry trends for racquet sports.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience in facility management, operating procedures, and merchandising.
- Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Proficiency in golf software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and create programming.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, revenue generation and cost control.
- Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- CPR/AED certified.
