Job Description

The Field Sports Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of field sports at Ballers. This role includes overseeing daily operations, scheduling and programming, rental and events, exceptional customer service, managing staff, organizing events, and ensuring outstanding experiences for members and guests. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the turf field.
  • Manage and oversee the turf field schedule.
  • Provide highquality programming and offerings for members and guests to participate in various field sport activities.
  • Develop and manage sports leagues, tournaments, camps, and training sessions for both adults and children.
  • Coordinate rentals and partnerships with local sports and soccer clubs.
  • Plan and execute youth summer camps and mini camps during school holidays.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise field sport staff.
  • Schedule staff and ensure proper coverage for all programming.
  • maintain a professional, energetic and positive attitude while representing the club.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance field sport experiences.
  • Maintain highquality standards for field conditions and facility operations.
  • Attend weekly athletic staff meetings.
  • Provide personalized service to members, addressing their needs and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all membershiprelated inquiries and concerns about field sports.
  • Regularly gather feedback from members and employees to identify opportunities for improvement in programming and service.
  • Participate in member events, training sessions, and special programming to foster community engagement and support member retention.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive and positive team environment that promotes open communication and collaboration.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sports facility management, coaching, or sports administration.
  • Existing eligibility to work in the US.
  • Strong local relationships in the soccer community with an existing pipeline of resources for collaborating and renting the field space.
  • Experience in planning and running youth sports camps and adult and youth programs.
  • Teaching skills to coach all levels and ages of players and create appropriate programming and offerings for the players.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer, etiquette, and industry trends.
  • Passionate about soccer and growing the sport in the community.
  • Ability and skills to teach other sports including but not limited to pickleball, squash, golf and padel is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in tournament operations, and merchandising.
  • Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and create programming.
  • Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events.
  • Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • CPR/AED certified.
