Job Description
The Membership Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue by selling club memberships and other exclusive offerings for Ballers. This individual will identify prospective clients, through external sales efforts, incoming sales inquiries, and developing relationships through networking. The sales manager will develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, and a passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports-related membership sales.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with potential clients, including individuals, corporations, and groups.
- Develop and execute inside and outside sales strategies to drive membership growth and retention.
- Conduct sales presentations, venue tours, and meetings to showcase Ballers amenities and services, ensuring prospective members understand the full value proposition of a membership at Ballers.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective members and clients using CRM tools.
- Track membership metrics and analyze sales trends to inform business strategy and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
- Participate in area networking events and maintain membership in organizations that provide access to meet and network with potential members.
- Develop and implement membership retention strategies.
- Build and maintain longterm relationships with members and clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Provide personalized service to members, addressing their needs and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all membershiprelated inquiries and concerns.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the membership sales.
- Regularly gather feedback from members and employees to identify opportunities for improvement in programming and service.
- Participate in member events, training sessions, and special programming to foster community engagement and support member retention.
- Create and maintain an inclusive and positive team environment that promotes open communication and collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or a related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and close deals
- Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in CRM systems
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living
- Knowledge of pickleball, padel, golf, squash, and soccer
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in using computer software programs
