Job Description :
The Director of Information Technology (IT) will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology infrastructure, systems, and software utilized within the hospital environment. This individual will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely, and that staff are trained in their use.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.
- Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to ensure efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.
- Provide expertise in the CPSI electronic medical record system, HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, networking, and server virtualization.
- Ensure staff are trained in the effective utilization of technology systems.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare IT landscape.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
