A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the Core Banking Product Owner, you will oversee the core banking system administration and development from start to finish to ensure it meets the needs and preferences of BSNB departments. Your skills and expertise will play a vital role in the determining the overall vision of the core banking system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Define a vision for the Core Banking product while maintaining cohesion throughout the process that aligns with vendor roadmaps and BSNB's strategic plan. Create a product road map based on this vision.
- Oversee and manage system updates for the Core Banking product, coordinating with other members of IT and impacted departments. Create project plans, insuring systems are testing timely before implementation.
- Reviewing and analyzing system updates for the Core Banking product. In collaboration with the team leaders, determine applicability and develop a prioritized backlog for eventual implementation.
- Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on changing requirements.
- Overseeing all stages of technical development for product creation, including design and development.
- System administrator for the Core Banking product.
- Analyze new FIS system offerings, evaluate and make recommendations for implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' relevant bank technology experience, with prior FIS Horizon or comparable core banking system preferred. In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development methodology required. Must have a demonstrated ability to prioritize, proficiency in the use of analytic tools, and the ability to work with large teams including product development team members and management team members. Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field required.
